The Regional Portfolios of projects is a networking action of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, running from early 2027 to 2029. Part of the Partnership’s additional activities, the Regional Portfolios aim to connect ongoing research and innovation projects addressing the same EU sea-basin, either co-funded by the Partnership or by another national, regional, or EU instrument for a two-year period. Five regional project portfolios will run within the same timeframe, corresponding to the EU sea basins: Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, North Sea, Black Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. 

The goal of the action is to provide the selected projects with a platform to foster connection, to address cooperation needs and challenges at the regional level.

The Regional Portfolio topics are: 

• Atlantic Ocean Regional Portfolio: Addressing Atlantic Ocean coastal resilience in practice;
• Black Sea Regional Portfolio: Addressing knowledge gaps in the Black Sea: Information, data exchange and good practices in the context of climate change;
• Mediterranean Sea Regional Portfolio: Fostering inclusive governance and multi-use coastal and maritime infrastructure for sustainable development in the Mediterranean Sea;
• Baltic Sea Regional Portfolio: Improving the Baltic Sea Resilience: Resilience to large-scale events, Infrastructure resilience, ecosystem resilience;
• North Sea Regional Portfolio: Exploring nature-based solutions to address cumulative impacts on marine ecosystems while supporting maritime sea uses.
